Todd Russaw, the ex-husband of Faith Evans, is an American music producer and co-founder/strategic advisor at Think Big agency. He is also a businessman with a focus on health and wellness. Besides, Todd Russaw came into popularity after his marriage to America’s foremost singer and songwriter, Faith Evans. Initially, it appeared like they were a perfect couple, but they later went their separate ways after 13 years of marriage and two children together.

However, Todd Russaw has remained prominent in the music industry and is well-respected for his works. Not much is known about Todd Russaw’s background, but he is well-educated and obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Communications and Media studies from Glendale Community College in 1988.


1. Todd Russaw is the former husband of Faith Evans


Todd Russaw met singer Faith Evans in 1996, through their mutual friend, American artiste Missy Elliot. They fell in love and dated for a while before tying the knot on November 11, 1997. The wedding was a private ceremony attended by close family and friends of the couple.


Afterward, the couple welcomed their son, Joshua Russaw on June 8, 1998, and their second son Ryder Evan Russaw soon followed on March 22, 2007. However, the couple began to have issues in their marriage which resulted to divorce on May 17, 2011.


2. Todd Russaw’s ex-wife is a talented singer


You might have heard about Faith Evans or probably listened to her song or seen any of her movies. Well, Faith Evans is an American popular singer, songwriter, actress, and record producer born in Lakeland, Florida on June 10, 1973. Faith Evans has been singing since she was two years old. She first joined AI B. Sure, and Christopher Williams as a lead vocalist and later became the first female vocalist to contract with Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs’ Bad Boy Entertainment in 1994. She dropped three platinum-certified studio albums with them under the label namely, Faith (1995), Keep the Faith (1998), and Faithfully (2001). She later left the company to sign with Capitol Records in 2003 and they produced one of her best albums, The First Lady (2005), and, A Faithful Christmas (2005).


Meanwhile, Faith Es has a total of four children from two marriages and a relationship. Her first child, daughter, Chyna Tahjere Griffin, was born in 1993 from her relationship with the producer, Kiyamma Griffin. Evans later gave birth to her son with her first husband, Christopher Wallace aka The Notorious B.I.G, and two others with her second husband, Todd Russaw.

Furthermore, Faith Evans has also appeared in minor television roles. She has also written an autobiography book entitled, keeping in Faith, which won a 2009 African American Literary Award for Best Biography/ Memoir.

3. Todd Russaw used to be Faith Evans’ producer


Todd Russaw worked as A&R Director at Motown Records, where he produced Missy Elliot’s first platinum album, No Doubt. Likewise, working with his ex-wife Faith Evans, Todd produced three hit albums, The First Lady, A Faithful Christmas, and Something About Faith. In addition, she was nominated for four Grammy Awards while working with Todd Russaw and eventually won one with the song, I’ll Be Missing You, a track dedicated to her late husband, Christopher Wallace also known as the Notorious B.I.G.


Moreover, Todd Russaw worked as a producer for Pedigree MGI from 1997 to 2011. Recently, he is associated with Think Big Holdings INC where he is a founding partner.


4. One of Todd Russaw’s children is autistic


Todd Russaw shares two sons, with Faith Evans, namely, Joshua Jahad Russaw and Ryder Evan Russaw, but he also has a daughter named Tatum, but her mother’s identity is unknown. Meanwhile, his younger son, Ryder Evan Russaw suffers from autism. Although Todd Russaw and Faith Evans have gone their separate ways, the couple is united in their effort to ensure that their son lives a good life and have enlisted the help of professionals to help assist them, as well as interacting and corroborating with other parents going through similar situations.

Meanwhile, Faith Evans moved on after their divorce and married producer Stevie J. in 2018, but they separated in 2021. Recall that faith Evans’ first husband was The Notorious B.I.G with whom she tied the knot on August 4, 1994. They met at a Bad boy’s record label photoshoot where they were both signed on. However, she lost her husband after she was killed in a drive-by shooting in Los Angeles in 1997. They had a child, Christopher George Latore Wallace Jr. before his death. She then married Todd Russaw and later Stevie J. but they all ended in divorce. The couple had no children together in the relationship.
