This will see him matriculate in Central Michigan University where he received a scholarship offer and began his professional career as an American Football Defensive End with the Houston Texans. There he signed and agreed to a four-year contract, a deal worth $11.24 million in July 2011. Ever since, the thirty-one-years-old has been named in Rookie Team of the Year in his first season, named the AFC Defensive Player of the month for September and December in 2012, voted Texans team Most Valuable Player in 2012, named in 2014 NFL Pro-Bowl where he doubled as captain. With the aforementioned laurels to his name, JJ Watt established himself as one of the most successful Defensive Ends in the NFL.
